Courtney Thomas is a native of North Carolina and a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and moved to the Kansas City community in 2002. Courtney brings more than fourteen years of executive leadership, innovative vision, and strategic alignment to the Central Exchange. Prior to joining CX, Courtney served as the President and CEO at Great Plains SCPCA, Kansas City’s largest animal welfare organization.

Maureen Hannoun has served 17 years at University of Missouri – Kansas City as Research Administrator; the past 9 years, as Director of the Office of Research Services. She manages an office of 12 which oversees $250 Million in proposals and $50 Million of annual awards for the UMKC community. Graduated Shawnee Mission Northwest high school in 1984. She has a Bachelor in Business Administration ‘91 and Master of Social Work ‘04 from UMKC.

Danny Zaslavsky is a successful leader in both business and the Greater Kansas City community. As General Manager/Partner for Country Hill Motors, he has helped grow his family’s business into one of the region’s most successful independent auto dealerships. Danny is also the President of the Mid-America Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Danny also co-founded DealerPrints, a software product for auto dealerships.

Dr. Rebecca Gernon is a family physician, Medical Director for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, and mother of 3 boys. Her clinical interests focus around behavioral health initiatives in the primary care setting. She practiced primary care medicine for 15 years in academics and private practice prior to transitioning to Blue KC, where she is focusing on behavioral health from a population health perspective.

Terry Flynn is Department Chair of Healthy and Physical Education and Wellness Coordinator for Blue Valley West high School. She is the Director of Blue Valley XC and track Timing. Terry is a former head volleyball coach for BVW, BVHS, SMNW and Park University, she was assistant volleyball coach at Missouri State and the University of KS. She has been in education for 40 years.

Stephanie joined the Population Health Services Organization in 2012 to focus on population health strategy for clients.

Brooke Wesley’s desire is to help individuals struggling with and recovering from Eating Disorders. She has been working in the field of social work for over 19 years. She began as a technician on the Eating Disorder unit at Baptist Lutheran Hospital, from there worked at Northstar, substance abuse recovery. After completing her Master’s degree, Brooke worked for a few years in the Olathe school system and opened her private practice 11 years ago.

Dan Walker is a California native who has lived in the Kansas City area for over twenty years. After receiving his Ph.D. from Purdue University, Dan began his career with Dow Chemical in their pharmaceutical division. Following his time with Dow, Dan worked for several companies in the human and animal health fields. Dan retired from full-time consulting in 2017 but continues to be involved with companies he has co-founded and funded.
